Steven R. Canales has a solid background in the homebuilding industry. Steven earned a degree in Architecture from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He started his professional career in Houston where he worked for a national home builder for nine years. Steven learned all the facets of the homebuilding industry as a Builder, Sales Manager and Area Construction Manager. Steven was member of the Greater Houston Builder's Association and served on the executive board of the Bay Area Builder's Association.

Being a Laredo native, Steven returned to Laredo to join Armadillo Homes as the new Vice President of Operations. Steven has been called upon to lead the charge for Armadillo Homes' growth. He will oversee the day to day operations. Steven's understanding of the market from different aspects, coupled with a proven track record and a contagious enthusiasm, are sure to make him an asset to the Armadillo team. A main component of Steve's strategy is focused on design and material development.
